Life as an Auxier

Our life is full of laughter and silliness. We love to make up pointless songs by changing lyrics and using nicknames that don't make any sense for one another. Most evenings you will find us cooking dinner at home and simply spending time together.

We know kids will bring a lot of chaos into our home, and we are excited about it. We want our family to have fun together, which often means getting a little bit goofy or making messes. A loud home full of playing dress-up, creating seasonal art at the kitchen table, or throwing a football around in the back yard is our dream.

When it comes to raising children, we will do our absolute best. Our goal is to raise children who are generous and kind. We want them to sit by the new kid at lunch, invite friends over to our house, and think about others. We already pray that they will be strong and courageous. We want them to figure out what they love doing, and then go do it. We will provide for their needs - emotional and physical. We will love them when they are throwing a tantrum in the middle of Target and when they are giving us hugs before going to bed. We are committed to parenting as a team. Our children can depend on us to provide a stable home where they know they are loved and cared for.

Parenting is our most exciting adventure, and we are willing to sacrifice our sleep, free time, and sanity in order to be the best parents we can be. We trust that God will guide us as we navigate the path of parenting. We know God has big plans for our future kids, and we already feel blessed that He has chosen us to be part of it.

We are open to a lot of possibilities for our adoption: infants, toddlers, sibling groups, multiples, any gender and any race. We trust that God is leading us to adopt, and we know that He has an ultimate plan for our family. We are also open to varying levels of contact with the birth family. Adoption is unique in so many ways, and we are ready to embrace whatever God brings us.
